About the job
I need an experienced companion care provider for my late 90s mother. She's still sharp-minded! Medication management might be required, but she takes her daily Meds OK herself. A BIG pill case to be filled for the week. Companionship Care needs include meal prep & exercise reminders. Mum's a light eater, but needs a simple lunch & similar meal available for later. Caregiver might handle the transport for food shopping. Also, someone who can do light housekeeping, such as emptying refuse bins, kitchen upkeep, mail pickup at kiosk. Our caregiver must be a non-smoker & CPR / first-aid trained. Mum does have a living will and a DNR. Being sedentary, stimulation is important. She needs to be prompted to get up & out of the room, away from her lounger. She sits mostly 24/7 in this area; won't sleep in her bed. She does enjoy word games & TV.
