About who needs care: Patti is suffering from a fractured pelvis and broken ankle from being hit by a car on Her scooter. She was already disabled due to extreme scoliosis and chronic pain. She also has had 1 seizure and seems to have lingering cognitive issues due to the concussion from the accident. She loves animals (is vegan) and music and movies. She has a great sense of humor, but can be intense about issues she cares about. She was a radical hope child in her youth. She has a lot of calls to make and some visits to the doctor so in preparation to move Her to Broomfield CO to live with her daughter, or Eugene OR to live with Her son. She does not have any family locally. We all grew up on the Southside of St Petersburg in poverty and do not have enough money to pay a high wage currently, We wish We did! About the care needs: Mom has been living alone for at least 10 years and follows politics which has led to Her being a little angry and using curse words often. She catches Herself and apologizes and is trying to break that habit. She's in severe pain and will cry out sometimes when it hurts. Because of this, We need someone with a lot of patience and that can tolerate a little intensity. She's actually very kind and living and silly otherwise! She's a dedicated Vegan and it matters to her s lot but she won't talk about it unless someone is interested. She loves listening to diverse styles of music from reggae to funk to folk to conscious hip hop! She enjoys documentaries about artists, animals, politics, cults, and mysteries. She needs to be helped onto and off of her bed and in and out of Her chair. She will experience pain in this process. She would benefit from physical therapy. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
