About who needs care: Memory (short term memory and confusion) and balance issues (uses walker or cane) Enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching movies, shopping. Needs help with making meals, light housekeeping, reminders to take medications, showering, assistance with electronic devices (phone, tv, etc.), transportation to family member's houses for visits and appointments. About the care needs: Someone kind, patient and compassionate. She recently had home health companions that she thought were too bossy and controlling. She wants to be able to do as much as she can independently but have someone there for her safety. Specialized skills: Some understanding of memory loss in elderly people would be great (but not necessary) Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
