Aunt Shirley is experiencing memory loss, confusion of a. m./p. m., and uses a walker. She lost her condo and car in Hurricane Helene. She is now settled in independent living facility. She could use help getting scheduled for the shuttle, getting to and from medical appointments that aren't on the shuttle route, remembering meal times or asking to have them brought up (at least lunch and dinner), and remembering medications. She loves reading and movies. The key thing for helping Aunt Shirley is to be generally upbeat and patient, and to make the mundane things of life seem like fun! Aunt Shirley loves a laugh together, to go out and about for short trips, but anything bossing . . . makes her lose her temper. She likes people in small quantities. Services needed: transportation, errands, medication prompts, and companionship.
