About who needs care: Getting out of rehabilitation hospital Jan 3rd. Dad had a stroke 7/2023 and again on or before Thanksgiving 2024. Been at hospital/rehab since 11/29/24. Mom is 82 and can't handle all his needs now. He is incontinent Trouble getting in and out of bed as well as walking with equipment. He will be 90 4/4/25. Worried both will get hurt with a fall. Mom is and was exhausted before this last visit to hospital. She needs help. Family will be there to assist as much as possible until we hire the right person to give her some relief. She is a former nurse and can administer medications. About the care needs: Honest. Trustworthy. On time. Flexible schedule, becoming more fixed as needs dictate in future, probably increasing in frequency as time progresses, to the point of possible live-in situation. Cheerful attitudes appreciated. Gentle, but persuasiveness to get Dad doing some physical therapies and strengthening to walk better and be able to get in and out of bed with minimal assistance. Bathing assistance. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
