About who needs care: She's 87 years old. She very independent and loves to be, she just doesn't know her limits. She loves to get up and move through out the day. She enjoys reading and sitting outside to enjoy the nature. She enjoys going places no matter where. She just recently stopped driving so she misses being able to go places when she wants. She was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's, even though she does have that she is still very independent and able to do most things for herself. Her favorite saying is, if you don't move it, you will lose it. About the care needs: I think a good fit for my grandmother, would be someone who is patient, understanding. Someone who gives time her time to get her self presentable before going anywhere or doing anything. She is a very faithful person and goes to a Baptist church so preferably someone who is comfortable with speaking about those things and willing to let her express herself if need be. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
