About the job
My 86-year-old mother recently underwent cancer treatment and will soon be home. She has home medical care and PT being arranged. She was the prime caretaker for my 92-year-old father, and with her now somewhat an invalid, they need assistance with laundry, errands, cooking and transportation. I'm thinking an hour every weekday morning plus time for transportation to appointments and shopping. We will arrange some meals to be delivered and they enjoy eating out so there will be only the basics of cooking. My mother's health depends on being up & active for at least some time every day, she'll need encouragement for this. Services needed include: driving, light meal prep, errands / shopping, monitoring of medications, possibly occasional bathing assistance. This list will be refined after she's home and we understand her capabilities.
