About the job
About who needs care: My Mother in Law is 87, and recently returned home from a hospital/rehab visit. Her mobility is limited as she is quite weak. Prior to this she did well with a walker, but is now sometimes needing the wheelchair. Assistance with a sponge bath, and eventually shower, is part of our request, along with very light meal prep. She has therapy and also needs reminders to do her exercises. Basketball, HGTV, Lifetime Movies and news are her favorites, Her mind is sharp, but her body is failing her. Finally, she is ready to accept help. We are in need of someone who can give us breaks and complete the tasks(bathing)that she doesn't want her family doing. About the care needs: She is a bit hard of hearing and does not do well understanding a strong accent, other than that she is quite easy to get along with. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
