About who needs care: Parent on catheter and requires periodic emptying, and assistance with lifting to transfer from bed to chair, dressing, bathing, feeding and toileting. He requires assistance with all ADLs. Parent is non-ambulatory and sits in lift-chair most of day. He is woken at 7:30 a.m. and put to bed around 7:30 p.m. About the care needs: Caregiver may be male or female but must be strong enough to safely transfer parent from and to bed and from and to chairs. Caregiver must be compassionate, trustworthy, trained in sanitary handling and protocols in washing and in minor housecleaning. Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing.
