Looking for a CNA to provide hands-on care for my 70-year-old wife, Jessica. The job is for weekends. It could be long-term if it is a good fit. Jessica has a traumatic brain injury, chronic pain, and is recovering from surgery. Duties include helping with ADLs, medication reminders, light housekeeping, serving prepared meals, running errands, and accompanying Jessica on outings and walks. Most important is protecting Jessica, who has balance issues, from falling. Jessica is a highly-functioning, high-energy TBI survivor, who often needs gentle reminders to stay on task. You must be patient, compassionate, and hard-working. You also must have an excellent driving record and a good sense of humor. Jessica is interested in working with rocks and minerals, beading, and learning to sew. We live in the Advent Christian Village in Dowling Park.
