About who needs care: My mother has Leukemia and underwent a transplant recently. She is having to stay in Jacksonville for upwards of 100 days post-transplant for monitoring. She requires a caregiver be around 24/7 for that time. The family lives several hours away and will pick up as much time as we can but I need to hire someone to pick up several weekends if possible, whenever I can get one. As of now her structure is, she has appointments at the Clinic Monday, Wednesdays & Fridays. But the times a hired caregiver will be present, we shouldn't have any appointments. Mama is mainly recouping right now so her hobbies are limited. Lots of napping and down time. She is staying in the hope lodge, so housing is supplied and free. As of now a caregivers responsibilities would be spending time with her, making sure she doesn't need assistance as she does have some mobility issues (she's weak post transplant) and helping clean and get food if need. (cooking is not required) About the care needs: As of right now, there isn't anything specific I am looking for as this is a short term stay, and I need someone fairly quick. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
