About who needs care: Caregiver Needed for Elderly Mother 8 Hours a Day, 7 Days a Week About the Position: We are seeking a compassionate and reliable caregiver to assist my mother, Sandra, who is recovering from an extended hospital stay due to ulcerative colitis and managing arthritis. She is improving daily her memory is getting better, and she is steadily regaining strength. Schedule: Hours: 8 hours per day Days: 7 days a week Open to discussing shifts if multiple caregivers are needed to cover the schedule Responsibilities: Provide companionship and emotional support Assist with daily activities (e.g., light meal preparation, help with mobility, light housekeeping) Monitor medications and ensure they are taken on schedule Assist with personal hygiene if needed Drive Sandra to and from medical appointments, errands, or other necessary outings Observe and report any changes in health or behavior Provide general support to ensure safety and comfort Qualifications: Previous caregiving experience preferred Valid drivers license with a clean driving record CPR and First Aid certification is a plus Patience, kindness, and strong communication skills Must pass a background check and provide references A Christian believer is encouraged, as faith is an important part of Sandra's daily life Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience Open to discussing hourly or weekly rates Additional Notes: Sandra is currently stable but needs consistent support to continue her recovery comfortably at home.
