Companion For My 55 Yr Old Father

Hi! My name is M and I am looking for a caregiver for my father, Jody. May 12th of 2018, my father was involved in a horrible motorcycle accident, he was in a medically induced coma for 2 months, and then went into 2 months of rehab. For the past 5ish years he's lived in a memory care facility, in June we had the opportunity to move him into my home and he's been doing better than we could've imagined! He is 55 years old and if you spoke to him for a short period of time, you'd have no idea that he has a Traumatic Brain Injury. We are looking for someone to keep him physically and mentally stimulated. He doesn't need intense care, he is capable of doing all of his own personal hygiene, himself. Psychically, he is completely fine. Mentally, he has short term and some long term memory loss. He loves to play pool, bowl and go to the driving range. He also LOVES to go on walks and we live in a safe area where you both can walk for miles, if you wanted. There's also quite a few trails near us. As far as housekeeping goes, I have a cleaner come every 2 weeks, so I only ask that you both pick up after yourselves. His previous caregiver made us some type of Mexican (his all time favorite food) every Tuesday and that was very appreciated! He LOVES 80s & early 90s music. The first time he spoke after coming out of a coma, was singing Red Hot Chili Peppers. He will quiz you on music constantly (I experience it everyday lol) and loves to watch music videos. He is very easy going, we're really just looking for a companion for him, someone he enjoys spending time with, and to give my boyfriend and I a break. As soon as you get here, he would love to go on a morning walk. After that, some music videos or a movie would be good (while we want him stimulated he also needs some rest time so he isn't overly stimulated) Then any activity y'all would like to do, whether that's going out and doing something or we have a pool here, ping pong, corn hole & ring toss. The days don't have to be set each day it's really whatever you both agree on doing.
