About who needs care: She needs to be transferred and toileted. She needs meal prep and light housekeeping. She uses a pure wick at night, so that would need to be removed and cleaned each morning. She enjoys a home health aide who is a bit chatty and cheery as she can be naturally quite and enjoys the conversation. About the care needs: I would prefer someone who is friendly and chatty, as I mentioned before. Someone who is knowledgeable about transfers and can bathe her. Someone who is compassionate as she is sad about losing her mobility. Someone who can drive her to medical appointments and sometimes go out to lunch with her (her treat). Someone who is on time. Mornings are important for me to get ready for work, so being on time is a big help. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
