About who needs care: He has Alzheimer's. He has been having urinary incontinence for several months now, and his hygiene has really gone downhill. He genuinely believes that he just showered, when it has actually been several days or even weeks. He'll wear the same underwear/socks, everything, for several days at a time, usually sleeping in them as well. He absolutely will not listen to my mother or myself. He still enjoys reading. He can still do some mechanical things, such as small repairs. He doesn't watch TV anymore, he spends most of his time sleeping. About the care needs: We feel a male would be much more effective with him, possibly even a veteran, as my dad is retired from the Air Force. We think he needs a little help with his shower once he gets in there, as we're not sure he's even using soap. He definitely isn't using deodorant or cologne. Before the Alzheimer's, he always looked and smelled so nice. Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing.
