About who needs care: My father has moderate dementia, but is in excellent physical health. He loves sports, especially baseball, fishing and is interested in health-related information. About the care needs: Our ideal caregiver would be able to provide companionship and oversight/direction of engaging activities to my father without it feeling like he is being babysat. We are looking for someone who is patient, as it takes my father a bit longer to form his thoughts. It would be ideal if a caregiver were interested in sports as that is an easy topic to connect over. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
