Personal Care:
Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
Help with mobility, such as transferring from bed to chair, walking, or using a wheelchair.
Support with feeding and ensuring the client is taking medications as prescribed.
Monitor changes in the client's health and report any concerns to family members or healthcare professionals.
Assist with basic wound care, if required.
Household Assistance:
Perform light housekeeping tasks like laundry, cleaning, and tidying the client's living space.
Help with meal planning and preparation, ensuring dietary needs are met.
Run errands such as grocery shopping, or accompany the client to appointments.
Emotional Support:
Provide companionship and engage clients in activities to enhance mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
Assist with maintaining a positive atmosphere for the client.
Documentation:
Keep accurate records of the client's care, including daily activities, changes in condition, and any medical concerns.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Home Health Aide certification (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) qualification may be required depending on the state.
Experience in caregiving or home health care is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow medical guidelines and care plans.
Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that require lifting or physical activity.
