About who needs care: I am looking for someone to care for both of my parents who have dementia. It will be in there home. I am in the stage of research at the moment, trying to determine if at home care or Assisted Living will be a better fit for them.
About the care needs: Due to their memory issues, ideally a care giver would have experience caring for dementia patients. My parents still like to go and do things and I would like for that to continue for as long as they are able. They do need help with medications, some self care, and transportation. A caregiver needs to be patient, kind, speak slowly, and/or a little louder, as needed. Someone who can cook a few meals for my parents would be extremely helpful as well.
Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
