About who needs care: In search of respite care for 87 y/o male who lives in home with 87 y/o spouse who is main caregiver. Patient is ambulatory with cane. Need companion caregiver 1 time a week for 5-6 hours to allow caregiver to get out of the house and have a break. About the care needs: A friendly and kind people person with patience. Experience dealing with dementia patients with very short term memory. Patient enjoys companionship and conversation. No longer able to do hobbies. He just needs a companion to be with him while his caregivers gets a break. Services needed include: companionship.
