We are looking for live-in home care for our mother in her 80s. Assistance with oral medications is needed. Would like someone who can assist with meal preparation. Looking for a caring and compassionate companion who will help our mom remain engaged with her circle of friends in her community. Duties include transportation (doctor's appointments, accompanying on trips to the grocery store, errands, etc.). Can be in your car or our mom's car (we do not allow her to drive). She has early Alzheimer's dementia; she knows what's going on, she just has difficulty creating short term memories, recalling specifics of conversations, etc. She is ambulatory and can handle her daily self care routines including showering, but needs someone watching over her to avoid falls. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker. There are no pets.
