About who needs care: He has a variety of mental illnesses including depression, and anxiety. He is medicated for these and is genuinely a delight to be around. He has quite a few injuries from over the years that causes him chronic pain, so it is difficult for him to get around though he is mobile. He loves to read, listen to music, and tell stories. He thrives on connecting with people. We are looking for someone to help him stay organized with his day to day, doctors appointments, and if there is someone who is familiar with social work and can help advocate for him in the system that is a huge bonus! About the care needs: Someone patient, and willing to listen. Someone who doesn't see making small talk and having conversations as an inconvenience - he needs help with his day to day but he also needs some companionship. If there is anyone with experience in the field of social work that would be amazing. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
