About who needs care: He has brain cancer (glioblastoma) and has completed treatment. He has expressive aphasia, requires a walker at all times which he needs spotting, he has physical weakness, he needs direction for his personal care, including meal preparation. He still enjoys watching sports, painting and making crafts with assistance. Hes a very kind person who can get frustrated due to the aphasia and his rapid deterioration. About the care needs: The person has to be easy going. Would prefer someone trained as a home health aide or CNA due to experience with aphasia and cognitive decline, as well as future need for help with personal care. If they are familiar with wood working, painting, crafts would be helpful. Perhaps a male would work well too Services needed include: companionship, and mobility assistance.
