My grandfather Bob is 89 with mild dementia and not safe to be alone and requires 24/7 care and supervision. He requires some hands on assistance at times to get up from low surfaces, hygiene when toileting and for safety in the shower. He is a veteran of the Navy and a retired mechanic. He was an avid deep sea fisherman. Besides his family, fishing was his greatest love. He enjoys going out each day for rides to get ice cream or lunch, to the Lewes boat ramp, Cape Henlopen, Rehoboth board walk. He definitely doesn't like to sit at home. He walks with a walker and for longer distances he uses a wheelchair. We are looking to add more caregivers to our current staff for all shifts and for added coverage for time off and illness.
