About who needs care: He has no use of his feet and legs, and minimal use of his hands from arthritis. There's some dementia, but only when he's stressed. He's mostly fine when he's home. My mom and I would like to transition him to a more palliative care situation. Our ideal would be to have someone from 10 till 6 every day that can operate a Hoyer Lift, get him dressed, transfer him from bed to wheelchair, assist with bathroom as needed, and get him back in his bed after dinner. About the care needs: Someone physically strong who can deal with a lot of yelling. Both parents are a little hard-of-hearing, so the TVs are usually loud, and my dad is about 200 lbs of mostly dead weight. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
