Hands-on care is required for my 95-year-old aunt in Shelton. Daily reminders to take pre-poured medications in the morning and evening are necessary along with daily insertion of eye drops. Please be willing to do dusting and vacuuming, clean bathrooms and kitchen, change bed sheets once weekly or as needed, and do laundry when necessary. Gentle encouragement and assistance for daily personal hygiene and grooming. This includes showering twice a week. Meal preparation (cooking) is essential and the caregiver must provide at least one hot nutritious meal per day preferably at dinner. Part of your responsibilities will include grocery shopping, transportation to medical appointments, and picking up prescriptions.
