About who needs care: Stage 4 lung cancer, mobility issues, congestive heart failure, needs help with toileting, meals , medicines,, dressing.. diabetes, neuropathy in feet and hands. There are no memory issues. About the care needs: Humorous, kind, sensible, self directed, familiarity with how to administer proper hygiene , willingness to converse with patient . family does try to visit and at times it is a busy household but we live alone. Jim is alert and interested in many topics when not too exhausted to speak. Currently receiving palliative chemotherapy. Visiting Nurses come 3/4 times a week to deal with medical needs. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
