About who needs care: My husband has brain cancer, glioblastoma, which currently presents primarily with short term memory challenges. He sometimes needs reminders for medication, and in home physical therapy. Helping with walks outdoors, trips to library, store etc. He is highly intelligent, retired lawyer who loves history. A watchful eye and help with memory recovery exercises and the activities listed above would be great so that I am able to leave the house for parts of the day. About the care needs: A responsible, kind, patient, curious person who can engage in conversation and be encouraging would be helpful. Some who can cook and help organize would also be good. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
