About who needs care: This is temporary for my 88-year-old mother who within the past six weeks has moved from Boston to staying with us. We are in the process of looking at assisted-living/long-term care facilities for her here in Connecticut and now that my husband and the kids are back to school after summer vacation, she will be alone most of the day. She has been steadily declining. Her underlying conditions are chronic kidney failure, mild COPD, diverticulitis, and it appears as though she has started showing some signs of dementia, although this is subtle. Upon the day, she's very up and down sometimes she can get up from the couch and make it to the bathroom and back without assistance no problem other time she needs assistance , her interest in doing things that she used to love has definitely so right now her day consist of a lot of watching TV reading magazines, and of course, when there are people in the house visiting and talking with them. I'm looking for somebody probably from nine or 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday right now About the care needs: Someone with a good sense of humor as my mother still continues to have one - and someone who likes to engage in conversation not introverted and maybe likes to watch movies Services needed include: companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
