Companion Care Needed For My Husband In Durham

About who needs care: My husband is having carotid artery surgery soon. I can drive locally, but we may need transportation to follow up visits in New Haven (15 miles, including a stretch of I-91) I have some medical issues myself and we may need help with light housekeeping like rinsing and filling dishwasher, some laundry, reheating meals, etc. About the care needs: No specialized skills or hobbies. Husband is bright and curious, former professor of neuroscience. We have two cats, so helper shouldn't be allergic or afraid. A loud person wouldn't fit our household, but husband can get along with almost everyone! Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
