About the care needs: The best fit to be with my dad will be someone who is not rigid, who has some patience and flexibility. Someone who likes to be out and about- he is not one to sit home. He is well read, and likes to talk about history and other parts of the world. A good fit would be a college educated woman who has raised a family, and is looking for some part time work now that the nest is empty. Someone who likes older folks and does not mind driving, who is happy to talk over coffee for an hour and then take a walk on the beach. Or a mom who drops off her kids at school, can run around with my dad for a few hours: get lunch and coffee expenses paid, go to a library or a park or a beach and then have him back home in time for her to grab the kids at dismissal. Services needed include: transportation, and companionship.
