About who needs care: Perform direct care duties as a companion and certified nursing assistant to a client with MSA (Multiple System Atrophy) who is living at home in Middle Haddam, CT. You will be referring to a specialized care plan and contacting our in- house RN case manager as needed for support. Assist with activities of daily living at the clients home, providing mobility and ambulatory assistance with hand-on assistance to the client. Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the client. Duties performed may also include meal preparation, light housekeeping, and providing transportation to medical appointments or recreational activities. This is a 24/7 case so all shifts are open at this time. About the care needs: -CNA experienced with Parkinson-like disorders preferred -Ability to do transfers, mobility exercises, and lifting are a must. -Compassionate, empathetic, reliable, optimistic and kind-hearted personality traits preferred. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
