About who needs care: Early Alzheimers, otherwise healthy. Live in an independent living apartment. Loves her dog and knitting. Enjoys talking with people. Needs help shopping for clothes. Would like to get more engaged in activities, but has no follow through and wont leave her dog alone. Typical day would be get up, take her dog out. Pick up breakfast in the bistro and bring it back to her apartment to eat. Watch tv and nap. Take her dog out mid-morning and again at lunch. Pick up her lunch and bring it to her apartment to eat. Nap. Watch tv. Pick up dinner and bring back to apartment to eat. Go to bed. She used to really enjoy longer walks with her dog, but isn't doing that much on the nicer days. Looking fir companion care to help with getting her to do things. About the care needs: Someone who enjoys conversations. If the caregiver has Germans from Russia ancestry, that would be perfect as my moms grandparents were Germans from Russia. If they know about knitting or who is a knitter, that would be great. Someone who enjoys dogs. No special skills required. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
