About who needs care: she has little strength in legs and has problems walking to far. she wakes up between 9 a.m. and noon. she is deaf but will respond to louder speaking if one talks slow. she has some vision problems but does her best to recognize things and people. she eats soft food due to only top denture and onlr 4 front teeth. she wears disposable underwear. she likes to look at catalogs, magazines, and has several gel ink pens as she does color pictures from the adult coloring books. she like to sit outside once in awhile in spring and summer and early fall, depending on temperature. wake up, use bathroom, enjoy a cup of coffee with scrambled eggs, bacon and toast with strawberry jam. lunch might be a bowl of chicken and wild rice soup, with 12 saltine crackers hand crushed in it. she would be drinking Pepsi Zero off and on throughout the day, taking a nap from about 3 to 5:30 ish. dinner might be a salad, with sliced green onions, little tomatoes, sunflower seeds, shredded cheese and Razzberry vinegarette dressing or ranch, if available. after dinner, she would be watching the channel that shows old western movies and television shows. bedtime is anywhere between 830 and midnight. About the care needs: openminded, gentle approaches to elderly people, not bossy just to get a task completed. being able to lift at least 160 lbs at times when getting MIL from bed to wheelchair and vice versa in morning, at naptime and at bedtime. MIL, being the age she is, will talk about most any topic. if she doesn't know much about something, she will say that she doesn't know anything about that topic. Services needed include: transportation, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
