About who needs care: Alvina, AKA "Mom" has a ton of energy and doesn't like to sit still for very long unless she is in an active conversation or doing something. Mom is a retired school Principal and has a Masters Degree from D. U. (Denver University). She was only a few credits shy of her Doctoral Degree, but couldn't finish because she was a single mother with three kids, two of which are twins. She likes to munch on food; any type of food -- not picky, all day long. She can be funny and has a good sense of humor. She and also be mischievous and gets into things when she gets bored. She likes to help out in any way possible. My friends will have us over for dinner and to keep her busy she will clean all the dishes, though they aren't very clean and we just throw them in the dishwasher afterwards. She likes to go to Mass every morning at 6:30 am, but we recently stopped going every day. Lately, she has to go pee every 20 minutes, but most of the time nothing comes out. She can walk fine on flat surfaces but needs assistance with steps. Her home is a ranch style which is nice. About the care needs: Mom has dementia, any personality will do as long as they are not mean. A decent sense of humor, and if they speak Spanish or Russian that would be a great plus. She loves to speak in foreign languages. Going for a drive, shopping, visiting the Nuns and just gabbing / gossiping. Services needed include: companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
