About the job
About who needs care: He has Parkinsonism and dementia. History of seizures but none for years. He likes cards and games but has trouble remembering. He is interested in talking with a man who has similar background (truck driver, bar tender, some office work), but we recognize this might be difficult.. Thinking of about 4-6 hours, once a week - mainly companionship, simple card or board games, and maybe prepare lunch or a snack. About the care needs: Someone who can converse but not talk constantly. :) And has a sense of humor. No specialized skills needed. Light meal prep, help with dressing sometimes. Husband loves music, likes card & board games sometimes, watching movies, likes short walks sometimes. Services needed include: companionship.
