About the job
About who needs care: My mother is 76 and she lives with me. She was diagnosed with dementia 2 years ago and has steadily declined since. I am a teacher and work 7 - 4. Looking for someone to come to the house and help Mon- Fri 11:30 - 3:30. She doesn't think she needs help but with her dementia she has left the gas stove on among other things. I don't think housecleaning is needed. However, she does like to cook and with help and supervision this could be good for her. Maybe a few errands like shopping or appointments? About the care needs: My mom is very depressed with this disease. She is on medications and kind of has a "do not care" attitude. I would prefer someone who is gentle, caring and patient. Someone who has time to listen and visit. Someone who wouldn't mind taking her to the store once in a while or just out for some fresh air.
