About the job
We are looking for an experienced and loving caregiver who would also like room/board in the Laporte area. Our parents are no longer able to handle the responsibilities of cooking, cleaning, and shopping. Both have early onset dementia and we're honoring their wish to "age in place" rather than place them in a care facility. The position would include more personal care for our dad such as bathing, some toileting, and personal hygiene; while mom is still fairly independent and can care for her personal needs. Meals need prepared along with light housekeeping, running errands, and driving them to doctor's appointments. The position includes room/board, and a monthly salary. We prefer someone with at least 10 years experience and between the ages of 40 - 60 years old.
