Seeking Full-time Senior Care Provider In Firestone

About who needs care: Very independent man living with his wife who has stage 4 breast cancer. Byron is in really good physical shape for his age. He works out daily and has a pretty set routine. He is mobile and can drive himself around. He is kind and easy going. Kathy his wife is also independent but is suffering from terminal breast cancer. He sometimes forgets when to take his medications and will need gentle help reminding him of basic things like if his bill have been paid on time. His memory is not as good as it used to be but he has not been diagnosed with anything certain. At this time we are looking for a housekeeper to do daily cleaning, possibly make his lunch and make sure he has taken his pills. As I stated he is very independent so gentle reminders are best at this stage. We would like someone who is flexible and who would be willing to take on more responsibility as needed. Currently he resides in Firestone with his wife, but may move into his sons house in Erie eventually. We would like someone who is reliable, trustworthy and kind. About the care needs: Football fans are ideal but not required. If you enjoy old movies and TV you're in good company. Kindness, empathy and a sense of humor are required. Skills would include basic housekeeping, laundry dishes, simple cooking. Maybe putting up some of the holiday stuff during the holidays, but mostly basic housekeeping at this time. The ability to give gentle nudges for pills and bills is important as well. Over time more maybe required but this will happen organically and I may need you to tell me what is needed. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
