About who needs care: Dad is 89, a retired veteran from the airforce. He's hilarious, very stubborn and independent. He is usually oriented, no dementia. He has cancer that has metastasized to his brain, with no further treatment available. We are putting him in hospice. He falls at night when he tries to get up to use the commode. We mainly need someone to make sure they help him get to the bedside commode and back without falling. My elderly mother isn't able to lift him, but she will be in the house as well. About the care needs: Good sense of humor, able to help him not feel humiliated when he needs help. At this point, he wears depends, but is usually continent. Need someone who can clean him up if he has an accident and empty the bedside commode. His hobbies have been hunting, fishing, arrowheads, and football. Loves a good prank. Services needed include: mobility assistance.
