About who needs care: Gerald is a 57-year-old male that is immobile due to a severe stroke. He can not walk or stand on his own, and has very limited usage of his left arm. He loves music, especially rock, and sports. He is funny and very kind. He likes to watch tv during the day and occasionally go outside. He uses a male urinal and can do this on his own. Otherwise he does have a bedside commode. He can not shower himself and would need this done about twice a week. We have a shower chair and removable shower head. A wheelchair and seated walker are also available. About the care needs: Someone easy going and kind. Someone that is gentle and a good listener. He likes to stay pretty quiet. The ideal person would be comfortable with that and be willing to do some very light housework or next meal prep. He only weighs about 85lbs but when transferring him he cant be of much help. Must be able to lift properly and over 50lbs. This job would probably be about 4hours , two days a week Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
