About who needs care: Very independent woman until last month (still driving, still sharp of mind). Became weak, unsteady, etc. Cannot find the cause despite numerous tests on heart and brain. Would like to stay at home, but needs someone to make sure she is OK, and perhaps transport to things like church, groceries, etc. Daughter lives in Oregon, son lives in Colorado Springs, but cannot be there full time. About the care needs: She wouldn't want someone who is too chatty because she has lived a alone for so long. Someone who is helpful, but respects her autonomy and would let her do as much as she can by herself. She is a very strong Catholic and loves classical music. No smoking is mandatory. Perhaps someone who is more mature rather than young would be the best match. Female only. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, and mobility assistance.
