About who needs care: My husband Francois has permanent progressive aphasia, a form of dementia where he loses his ability to find and use words. The same condition as Bruce. He is 87, French and married to his American wife (me, Carol) for 56 years! He is totally bilingual French-English and also fluent in Spanish which he taught several years. Also, he has a degree in Geology and was in oil and gas exploration. He is the 3rd of 5 siblings, he is a twin with his brother Michel and he served 8 years as the youngest mayor in France, his small village in the Pyrenees Mountains. Hobbies/interests: sports, doing yard work, walking ,(to be continued..) About the care needs: Someone calm who can speak slowly and articulate well. No special skills needed. I feel a male would be a good change from me but not a necessity. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
