About the job
We are looking for periodic companion care for our dad/father-in-law, Jay, a pleasant 83-year-old, who lives with his wife Sherryl and a small dog, Rosie. Jay is in an electric wheelchair due to a neurological issue. In addition to mobility issues, Jay has a neurogenic bladder & a suprapubic catheter. He is alert & oriented and very kind but can be forgetful at times. We need someone whom Sherryl can schedule here and there to help prepare simple meals, feed Jay, chat with him, and keep him company so she can go out. No medical experience is necessary (he has am and pm hands-on caregivers) but you need to be kind, compassionate, a non-smoker, and be pet-friendly.
