We are looking for help for our dad/father-in-law, Jay, a pleasant 82-year-old, who lives at home with his wife Sherryl and their sweet small dog, Rosie. Jay has been in an electric wheelchair for about 5 yrs (previously a walker or cane) due to a neurological issue. In addition to mobility issues, Jay has a neurogenic bladder & a suprapubic catheter. He is alert & oriented and very kind but can be forgetful at times. Jay will always be in his wheelchair when you arrive in the evening. The most important task is transferring him from his wheelchair to his hospital bed using a Sara Stedy device. In addition to the transfer, you would help make sure he takes his evening medicines, empty his urinary catheter, and get him ready for bed. You will need to have your own transportation. Parking is easy.
