About who needs care: Had a stroke. 1 person transfer assistance needed most of the time. Needs some help with dressing, bathing, and using the bathroom. Weekdays, are expected to be 11:30am-4:30 or 5:00 p.m. Prepare lunch, drinks & snacks, take to afternoon dr. appointments or assist her with grocery shopping or clothes shopping. Be with mom for her afternoon nap. Help with bath 1 x per week. Sundays would be 8:00am-2:00 p.m. similar duties, but may include taking her to church and being available on the church grounds to assited her as needed during the service for restroom help, etc. About the care needs: Mom has a strong, down to earth personality, and loves to laugh. A good match would be either someone who is kind and can handle mild patient criticism, or someone who is willilng to throw a little reality back at her and make her laugh. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
