About who needs care: Recently broke hip and spent 1 month in hospital environment.... Has some dementia. Is small stature - 5'1" weighs a little over 100 lbs. Is currently wearing a catheter. Takes a minimum of medications. A structured day would include assistance in getting dressed and ready for the day - perhaps including breakfast or lunch... might include a nap. Would enjoy getting outside in yard or perhaps around neighborhood in wheel chair. There are many details to be worked out as we are just considering this possibility. About the care needs: Friendly and cheerful without being overly either of those. They should be prepared to deal with a catheter and other health issues as they arise. Compassionate and caring without being condescending. .... Most probably a woman would be the best fit. Adaptable and flexible and able to "go with the flow". Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, and mobility assistance.
