About who needs care: Our great Aunt Dorothy is 95 years old. She's clear minded and kindhearted with a sense of humor. Dorothy sustained back, knee, and hip injuries in her late 60s, but is resilient and has always been the primary cook and hostess of large Thanksgiving gatherings, and only in recent years has transitioned into needing a wheelchair and being less mobile. We're looking for someone to stay with her from 5pm-10pm, ensuring she gets dinner, assistance using the restroom, and help getting ready for and going to bed. She enjoys tasty and healthy foods and watching a little bit of television in the evening between dinner and bed, giving time to digest, but also you time to clean up and prep her bed. We're also looking for someone to be with her from 5am-8 a.m. to help her get out of bed, use facilities, and have breakfast. An ideal care provider would have a compassionate, joyful demeaner, the ability to safely help her stand up and down from her chair, bed, and in restroom, care greatly for cleanliness and attention to detail and has previous experience and reference.
