About who needs care: Hello. My 95-year-old mother recently fell and suffered a small brain bleed. She's home (in Solvang) and is closely followed by her physician, a neurological specialist, and a home health nurse who visits a couple of times a week. My sister and I live out of the area and are both with her now, but we will each need to spend some time away over the next 4 to 5 weeks, during which time the doctors want Mom to be accompanied around the clock. Depending on how well she heals, we will likely also be looking for less intensive companionship/practical support thereafter (maybe a few days a week?), assuming she's cleared for that by her doctors. Is this the kind of work you might be interested in? What would the next steps be to learn more about your services and fees and to fill you in more on mom's needs? This is a rather sudden need so that we would appreciate your timely response. About the care needs: Female providers who are positive and strong-willed with a good sense of humor. People who are willing to understand when to help and when not to, but during the entire time, doing what's right to keep her safe. She loves to enjoy her home, garden, play cards, sew, and listen to music. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
