About who needs care: My mother is primarily sedentary but uses a walker to get around the house and her wheelchair for appointments. She is a private person but does get lonely. She would warm up to a kind woman who was conversational without being chatty. She may want personal assistance such as painting her nails or applying pain relieving gel to her shoulder. She is generally kind and generous but reserved and private, at first. She spends time in her bedroom reading, texting family, watching TV, or paperwork in her office. With the right companion, she may be interested in a scenic dive or going out for frozen yogurt/lunch (mileage reimbursed). She does not own a car. She responds to genuine, warm personalities--doesn't like bossy or chatty types, and is open to conversation. Proactive helpers are appreciated!
