About who needs care: My father has kidney failure and is required to go to dialysis 3 times a week. My sister lives with him and takes him 2 times. He needs transport once a week. He watches TV most of the day but does need meals and snacks made for him and needs help getting dressed and undressed before and after showers. He uses a walker to get around and is a fall risk. Has fallen several times, injuring himself, especially after dialysis. About the care needs: My dad enjoys joking around and friendly banter back and forth. He is a ex business owner who expects and understands a day paid is a day earned mentality. He is very fair and expects honesty and expects being included in decisions and being updated. He has a sharp wit and is lucid and talkative. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and mobility assistance.
